This is our last week of school. On Tuesday we went to Old World Wisconsin.  We learned a lot from the people who showed us how things work back then like simple machines the wheel and axle that was at the country. In the town we learn about Blacksmiths, General store, Wagon wheeler how they work in life. At Old World Wisconsin the girls wore dresses, sun bonnets, skirts, scarves, and the boys wore overalls, hats, farmer and regular worker shirts. On Wednesday all of us students cleaned the classroom nice and clean. Then we all watched a very good movie. On Thursday we enjoy mass, signing yearbooks, and our awards assembly.  Have a fabulous summer!

This week our class had a sensational time.On Tuesday and Thursday we did our Map testing, and it went really well. We are making quilt where each of us of made a square showing a scene from our Little House on the Prairie book.  Today we treated the fabric with the help of Mrs. Atkinson.  Then the seamstress will take our fabric squares and make them into a quilt.  In gym we played basketball and it was fun. On Friday Maura brought in a birthday treat, and it was delicious.  We enjoyed this week a lot.

May 5

This week was amazing. We did so many things.  On Thursday it was May 4th so it we did "May the Fourth Be With You." We had Star Wars music playing when we entered the room.  We also had our spring musical on Thursday and Friday. The play was great!  We all practiced so hard, and we were  happy that the play went well.   On Friday we did kick ball and the game was amazing.

Weekly Blog

This week was awesome! On Monday we had Spanish class and Music class. In Spanish class we learned about what we would bring to a beach in a suitcase. In Music class we practiced our song for our musical Kilroy was Here. We also picked out our Little House on the Prairie books. On Wednesday we had our curl-up test in gym class. There was a voice that told us when to curl up and down. The highest score you could go to was 75. On Thursday we had our push-up test in gym class. Again we had the voice that told us when to go down  and up. The part that was hard was that they made you stay down for like 2 seconds. You could also like the other test only go up to 75. The top three scores were Kaden-20, Austin-24, and John-54 in our class. We had Music class and also practices the songs for Kilroy was Here. Today, Friday we had V.I.P Day. Our day started with Mass, then our V.I.Ps went to the gym to watch a performance from Mrs. Turner. We played Jeopardy when our V.I.Ps cam back from the performance.  When we went on to some of our questions we got to sing the Pi song and the Continental Drift Alfred Wegener's Theory. Then we presented our Revolutionary War  projects to our class.

On Monday we helped take apart candles and put them together for the Easter Vigil. On Tuesday we had team building with peeps.The contest was who could build the longest and sturdiest tower with  20 straws, 1 yard of tape, a piece of string, a peep and most importantly TEAMWORK! Also we did the labyrinth, The labyrinth is for people to pray for anyone or  anything. It also gets out any stress and nerves.  On Wednesday we had a pacer test, and the goal was 40. We also did a trunk lift. We also had wordly wise test and a math test. Tomorrow our social studies Revolutionary War project is due.  In science we are learning about simple machines. Tomorrow is an 11:30 dismissal.Overall this week was Amazing!!

This week we had our Wisconsin Forward Testing.We did the math and English/ Language Arts part. Today we are having a pizza party from the teachers for our outstanding work on the tests. Our social studies projects are due April 13th. We are learning about important people from the Revolutionary War.  In science we are learning about Newton's laws of motion.
This week we made ABC stories. An ABC story is a story that every new sentence you have to go in alphabetical order.  We had to make an ABC story for a fairy tale that we chose.
In art we are starting to use paper mache. Last art class we put a bunch of newspaper together and put tape on it. This class we will put paper mache around it.
During Lent we are reading a book called The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Every day we read one chapter and the day after we read we must answer a question for the chapter. Whoever has the right answer goes into a drawing to win a Jolly Rancher.
Remember earlier in the year when we read Wonder?  Now, every day the blogger must put up a new precept from the book 365 Days of Wonder, a book that has precepts for every day of the year. Today's precept is Life is like a roller coaster with all its ups and downs.
On the 13th of April we have a half day and we get out at 11:30  to begin our spring break. In May we have our Spring program.

This week was amazing, because we had a great adventure.We went to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry! Our favorite parts were the You Experience and the U-505 Submarine. We also went through the mirror maze.  We began an ABC story in English class. We are starting a big project in social studies on the Revolutionary War.  We are going to be choosing Revolutionary War heroes and making a display board about them.  It is due on April 13.
In science we started a new chapter about forces and motion.  We will learn about Newton's Laws of Motion.  We are also reading a class book called The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.

This week was great! On Tuesday we picked our Revolutionary War heroes, and for health class we made snowmen. Tuesday was also National Pi Day...3.1415926535897932384626433... On Wednesday we had Reconciliation and an awards assembly. Today our Iditarod projects were due. (Mitch Seavey has won the race!!!!!!! a.k.a. Kaden's guy.) Also today we are starting our songs for the Kilroy was Here musical.
Tonight the eighth grade girls play for the Padre Serra. TOMORROW IS SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!! Tomorrow we have NO SCHOOL! Next week on March 22 we go on our trip to The Museum of Science and Industry! We are reading the Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane for Lent. On Monday we started our hygiene drive. On March 28th we will start our Wisconsin Forward Test.

On Monday, we had music and Spanish. We got into the Blues music unit. On Tuesday, it was Mardi Gras and Mrs. Caporale gave everyone in the class a triple stuffed Oreo because we just finished our opinion essay. On Wednesday, it was Ash Wednesday and everyone got ash crosses on their foreheads. We also started the Iditarod project.  There was a "pep rally" and students from the school participated in some events such as the human Hungry Hungry Hippos game. On Thursday, we went on typing.com and did more of the Iditarod project. We had more music and talked more about the blues and switched seats. Mrs. Caporale introduced us to a book about a bunny made of  china named Edward Tulane. We did a science February weather graph. We had gym with Mr. Peterson's class! It was also Dr. Seuss's birthday. On Friday, it was the last day of Jump Rope for Heart. We chose what we wanted to play with as long as it involved jumping. There was a raffle in gym today for our class and John, Libby, and Chanse won. In art class, Mr.Kilps showed us about how to make things out of clay. We had a Social Studies test today.  I hope you enjoyed this week's blog post. ;)

On Monday we had music and we learned about ragtime music. We also had Spanish and we worked on are family trees. And on Monday we had a new student named  Elijah. On Tuesday we had Spanish and we also learned about family trees. We played a new game in science called mile a minute.  On Wednesday in gym we learned a new style of jumping.In Religion we also learned about Archbishop Romero. On Thursday we saw a play in church.On Friday we had Art and we worked with clay and also we went to the other classroom to celebrate a birthday.

February 16, 2017
This week went fast.  We had Valentine's Day on Tuesday.  We exchanged cards and treats.  It was fun.  We had Jump Rope for Heart in gym class, and we had an assembly about raising money for the American Heart Association.  Please try to save a life by raising money for this important cause. This morning on the 16th we hosted the school mass.  We also had Elijah shadow in our class for the afternoon. We had a lab in science class where we tried to measure the amount of air in our lungs by blowing through a straw to make a big bubble.  The size of the bubble determined the amount of air.

This week was Great!!! We didn't have school on Monday, but on Tuesday we started to work on our brains in science. We also had our Social Studies and Wordly Wise tests. In gym we are working on Jump Rope for Heart. We learned about the digestive system in science. In Social Studies we learned a little bit about the Thirteen Colonies. In English we are learning about demonstrative and superlative adjectives. We made Valentines day cards for the Veterans.

This week was Catholic School's Week. On Monday, in the morning we had mass and the school spelling bee was in the afternoon.  Tuesday was Pajama Day. We went bowling and my team kept getting gutter balls, though we had a good time. Everyone had lots of fun. We screamed with joy when my friend got a strike. We left the bowling lanes at 9:30 and when we got back, we played the dictionary game. After that, we watched  National Treasures and some of the class went to Mr. Peterson's room to watch Night at the Museum. Wednesday was Crazy and Formal Day, where we did relay races with our star partners and did a crazy and formal parade. On Thursday, it was Dress How You See Yourself in the Future Day. Emelia was a photographer and took photos of people like Mr. Peterson, who was just himself.  Mrs. Caporale was retired in the future, and she brought shells and sand to sit by while sipping iced tea in her Hawaiian shirt and sandals.  The game show on Friday was amazing.  We played the Match Game, and classes had the chance to win dress down days.
It was a very fun week.

 This week we had a lot of fun things. Monday we as a class we got a Euro challenge to label Spanish words in your room and study the Spanish words, and parents write a letter to Senorita Gutierrez what we label. Tuesday we as a class we did a fun team building activity it was very, very fun. On Wednesday book fair opened and a many of us won posters. On Thursday we had computers and we were learning how to code. On Friday  we had to get ready for open house by cleaning and organizing our class room.

This week was amazing. Our class did many cool and interesting things. For example, auditions for Kilroy, St. Matthias school play were this week.  We also had a quiz on the skeleton . Our class watch a Martin Luther King Jr movie. We started the parable project and the senses descriptive writing project . It is fun and interesting  to learn. We learned lots of thing this week and we enjoyed it. We hope to learn more next week and we hope you like what we wrote in this blog.

This week was an outrageous week. We made lungs out of a bottle with a balloon and a straw. We also made Scholastic News articles we picked three stories from 2016 and wrote how they touched us. We also did scripture reading  and found names of Jesus. Mrs. Turner is holding Auditions for the Kilroy was here. Our Wordly Wise test is Thursday. Our math test is Tuesday.
