The pacer test is a test where you have to run 20 m. across the gym in the time given. If you make 2 mistakes then your test is over. A mistake may be not making it across the gym in time. If you can't continue the test because you're so tired, then you can stop taking the test.
This week we started using this new program called Raz Kids. Raz Kids is a program where you can read books and take tests about the book. In music class we are making rondos. A rondo is a song in ABACA form. We had an English test today and a science test on Wednesday. We are starting a new science project on animal classification.
This week in Social Studies we learned about types of Indians. Today in gym we played 8-base kickball. In 8-base kickball you have to run the bases like normal, but then you as the name suggests you must run back the other way. More than one person can be on a base at the same time.
For the soles walk we had to make some sort of spirit item to represent our school during the soles walk. Our class made a windsock and a shaker. The 7th graders made balloon hats and they won, so everyone representing St. Matthias School in the Soles Walk will have a balloon hat to wear.
In Wonder we just finished reading from Via's point of view in the story. The next point of view we will be reading from is Summer's. On Quizlet we played a new game called Quizlet Live. In Quizlet live you are put on a team with your fellow classmates and whoever has the right answer to the question has to click it to score points for their team.
It was a great, fun week of learning!
